Terms of Service
Last updated October 19, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name, e.g. Jobcrumb LLC] (“Jobcrumb,” “we,” “us”). They cover your use of the Jobcrumb website and app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use Jobcrumb for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.
1. What Jobcrumb does
Jobcrumb helps contractors keep a record of each job (photos, notes, permits, inspections, estimates, change orders and invoices) and share it with their clients through a private link. Clients can view progress, sign estimates and change orders, send messages and pay invoices without creating an account.
Jobcrumb is not a party to any agreement between a contractor and their client. We don't perform, supervise, inspect or guarantee any work. The contractor is solely responsible for their work, pricing, licensing, permits, insurance, warranties, and the content of their estimates, change orders and invoices, and for following the laws that apply to their trade and location.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate account information.
- You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in links are sent there.
- Account owners control who joins their company and what role each person has. Owners are responsible for their team members' use of the Service.
3. Free trial, plans and billing
- New companies get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start.
- After the trial, continued use requires a paid plan. Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We don't give refunds for partial billing periods.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next billing period after the notice.
- If your plan lapses, your records stay available to view and export, but you can't add new work until you choose a plan.
- Referrals: if a company signs up through your referral link and becomes a paying subscriber, you each get a credit equal to one month of the monthly plan, applied to your next bill. Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred, and aren't earned for referring your own or related businesses. We may change or end the program, but credits already earned will be honored.
4. Online payments from your clients
If you accept card or bank payments through Jobcrumb, you connect a Stripe account and agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. Payments go to your Stripe account, not to Jobcrumb. Stripe charges its own processing fees. Jobcrumb also charges a platform fee on each online payment (currently 0.5%, capped at $50 per payment), deducted automatically. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks between you and your clients are your responsibility.
5. Electronic signatures and records
Clients can sign estimates, change orders and job sign-offs electronically. By using these features, you and your clients agree that electronic signatures and records have the same effect as signed paper, as allowed by the U.S. ESIGN Act and state law. Jobcrumb records the signer's name, drawn signature, the exact terms shown, the time, IP address and browser so there is a record of what was agreed. Jobcrumb doesn't give legal advice and doesn't guarantee that any document is enforceable or meets the requirements of your state or contract.
6. Your content
You own the content you and your clients put into Jobcrumb: photos, documents, notes, messages and client information (“Your Content”). You give us permission to store, process, display and transmit Your Content only to run and improve the Service for you, including showing it to clients you share a job link with. You confirm you have the right to upload Your Content and to share your clients' information with us for this purpose.
Anyone with a job's share link can view that job's client page. Only share links with the intended people. If a link is shared by mistake, contact us and we'll replace it.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law, mislead clients, or create false records or signatures;
- send spam or messages people haven't asked for;
- upload content you don't have the rights to, or that is harmful, abusive or malicious;
- try to access other companies' data, probe or overload our systems, or get around limits or security; or
- resell or copy the Service.
8. Exporting and deleting your data
You can export your jobs, clients, invoices and time records as CSV, and download job records and invoices as PDF, at any time. If you close your account, we'll delete Your Content within 90 days, except where we need to keep records for legal, tax, payment or fraud-prevention reasons.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Jobcrumb at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, don't pay, or put the Service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of anything critical.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Jobcrumb won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for disputes between contractors and their clients, or for the work performed.
12. Indemnity
If you use Jobcrumb for your business, you agree to defend and hold Jobcrumb harmless from claims arising from your work, your dealings with your clients, Your Content, or your breach of these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll email account owners at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in [State].
