Get extra work signed before you pick up a tool

You open a wall and find rot. The fix is $1,250. A text that says "go ahead" won't help you in a dispute. A signed change order will.

What you get

Price and photos, together

Describe what you found, attach the photos, set the price. Your client sees exactly what you saw.

Signed on their phone, or yours

Send a link, or hand them your phone on site. They verify with a code, read the locked wording and sign with a finger.

Locked once answered

Edit freely while it's waiting. Once the client signs or declines, it's frozen, with the exact terms they agreed to.

Billed automatically

Approved extra work is added to the job total and lands on the final invoice, so nothing slips.

How it works

Three steps. No paperwork.

  1. 1On the job, tap Add change order.
  2. 2Describe the work, add photos and the price.
  3. 3Send it or have the client sign now. You're notified the moment they answer.

Questions

What is a change order in construction?

A written, signed agreement to change the scope or price of a job after the original contract. It protects both sides: the client knows the cost before work starts, and you can prove they approved it.

Are e-signed change orders legally binding?

Electronic signatures are generally valid in the US under the federal ESIGN Act and state laws. Jobcrumb records the signature, exact wording, time, device and a code check. Check your state's rules for your trade.
